Leuchtturm917 Drehgriffel Nr. 2 Pencil

£24.50

In 2022 LEUCHTTURM1917 Drehgriffel Mechanical Pencil was the winner of the respected Red Dot Design Award. The Red Dot Design Award is one of the leading and most prestigious design competitions in the world, and the Red Dot Label is regarded as an international quality seal for outstanding design. Bestowed by an expert jury, the famous prize is awarded to products that feature outstanding design. The jury is made up of big-name designers and design experts from around the world – they decide independently which products receive a Red Dot Award.

Made of aluminium LEUCHTTURM1917 Drehgriffel Mechanical Pencil is inspired by an original 1920 design, it sports a retro look with its hexagonal silhouette and a twist mechanism to extend the tip. Its lacquered brass tip provides a balanced weight for maximum comfort when writing. In contrast to the Drehgriffel Nr. 1, the fine tip is made of steel, creating a harmonious transition to the 0.7-mm graphite lead.

The name Drehgriffel is derived from the words 'dreh', meaning to twist, and 'griffel', which describes a stylus – the oldest writing utensil in the world. Pretty neat, huh?

The Leuchtturm1917 Drehgriffel Mechanical  Pencil comes presented in a simple retro triangular gift box with the Leuchtturm1917 branding. Refills are available.
