At its heart is Midori’s celebrated MD PAPER, used not only for the pages but also for the cover and endpapers. Known for its soft, smooth texture and excellent fountain pen compatibility, the paper allows ink to glide effortlessly while maintaining crisp lines and vibrant colour.
The notebook is bound using traditional thread binding, making it durable and allowing it to open completely flat at 180 degrees. This ensures a comfortable writing experience from the very first page to the last, without pages resisting or lifting.
The cover remains pure and uncoated, highlighting the natural character of the paper itself. Each notebook arrives wrapped in glassine paper, reminiscent of classic paperback books. It protects the notebook from dirt while travelling or stored on a desk, though many writers choose to remove it and enjoy the notebook in its pristine state.
