Hobonichi 2024 A6 Planner Cover [Hiroko Kubota: Twinkle-shells]

£27.00 £36.00

A train runs along a track high in the grey sky. Look closely, and you'll see that the stars shining in the sky are in the shape of various seashells. A giraffe stands quietly on the ground, looking up at the sky. You can really feel the quietness of the scene.

This fantastic view, which looks to each person to have a different season, time, and place, was created by illustrator Hiroko Kubota. She brushed up a previous work of art in order to extend the story to the back of the cover as well.

The seashell-shaped stars all have their own appearances, as some have a soft glow while others are sparkling brightly.

On the back of the cover you can see a puddle where the moon has fallen, and animals playing jump rope nearby.

In order to portray the soft color scheme of the original illustration, we chose an extra-fine cover material that’s smoother to the touch than ever before.

The interior pockets are blue-grey, with seashell stars sparkling in a sky that’s been printed behind the pockets. The bookmark charms are also shaped like shells.

The interior left pocket contains a cat-shaped brand card. It looks cute peeking out from the pocket, so you could even leave the card in so you have something to look forward to every time you open your cover.

Also available at The Journal Shop, is the Hiroko Kubota: Twinkle-shells pencil board.

Changes in 2024

The A6 planner cover is no longer sold as a set to include the planner. From 2024, you will now have the option of buying a planner to fit your cover of choice, separately. The A6 cover fits the 'planner' and the 'orginal'. Please see our range of Hobonichi planners, here.

Specifics of the A6 Cover

  1. Butterfly-stopper
This is the name for the pen holders that are on either side of the cover. By closing the techo cover and putting a pen through both pen holders, it acts as a hinge and holds the cover shut, preventing the pages from crumpling.

  2. Various pockets
The Hobonichi Techo cover comes with lots of pockets both on the inside and outside. There are various shapes and sizes, from those in which you can store small cards to those that can fit larger postcards.

  3. Two bookmarks
The covers come with two bookmarks with triangular and rectangular charms on the ends (the shape of the charms may differ depending on the cover). It’s useful to use each bookmark to mark different pages, for example using one for the monthly calendar and one for the daily pages.
