Following Midori’s philosophy of quiet simplicity, this notebook removes unnecessary decoration and focuses entirely on writing comfort. It becomes a gentle companion for daily notes, journalling and ideas — always ready, never distracting.
At the heart of the notebook is Midori’s renowned MD PAPER, used not only for the pages but also for the cover and endpapers. Celebrated for its smooth texture and excellent fountain pen compatibility, the paper allows ink to glide effortlessly across the page while maintaining crisp lines and vibrant colour.
The notebook is constructed using traditional thread binding, making it durable while allowing it to open completely flat at 180 degrees. From the first page to the last, writing remains comfortable and uninterrupted.
The minimalist cover is left uncoated to highlight the natural texture of the MD paper itself. Each notebook is wrapped in glassine paper, reminiscent of classic paperback books. This protective layer prevents dirt while travelling or stored on a desk, though many writers choose to remove it and enjoy the notebook in its pure form.
A bookmark string runs along the spine, with its colour varying depending on the notebook type, adding a subtle touch of playfulness. Matching index stickers are included so you can label and organise your notebooks neatly.
The 7mm lined layout offers a gentle structure for neat writing. The horizontal lines are spaced so the top and bottom halves of the page can be used separately, allowing flexible organisation for notes, lists or journalling.
