A Hobonichi Techo born from a collaboration with the digital handheld pet Tamagotchi, which took the world by storm after its 1996 release. The series, which celebrates its 30th anniversary in 2026, continues to be loved across generations. This cover is designed to spark fond memories for those who took care of their own digital pet in the past, but also to bring joy to those who are still lovingly caring for theirs today.
Tamagotchi Techo Discovered! features a whole slew of Tamagotchi assembling on the entirety of the cover! Included are some that you might have raised in the past and have precious memories of, and some that have only recently been discovered and are new to the series. They all seem to be getting along splendidly as they are cheerfully lining up on the cover!
This design is printed onto tightly-woven white fabric with vibrant colors. Alongside the Tamagotchi themselves, showcasing their different expressions, beloved icons from the franchise such as the Meal and Snack, Heart and Poop are depicted in a pixel art style. Mametchi is one of the characters who appeared in the original Tamagotchi, and you can see how his design changes over the years.
But wait, what do I see among all of the Tamagotchis? Could it be a new member, newly discovered on this Hobonichi Techo: the Techotchi?! Techotchi has a charming pink beak that can hold a pen, and small triangular and square feet. Seems like the Tamagotchis just got a new friend who looks just like a Hobonichi Techo.
Both the cover interior and bookmark ribbons are black. The card pocket on the right side features a print of a happy-looking Mametchi.
The left pocket showcases the Meal and Snack icons from the Original Tamagotchi. And if you peek at what’s right above that pocket...Oh! Kuchipatchi is taking a peaceful nap.
