Description

Pilot's Iroshizuku inks are an ode to the colours of a culture which has revered the art of writing for more than a thousand years, created to represent Japan's beautiful natural scenery and fauna. 'Iroshizuku' is a combination of the words 'iro' (colouring) and 'shizuku' (droplet).

Fountain pen users may well be familiar with Pilot's Iroshizuku line. The original lineup was made up of 50ml bottles which are generally positioned at the higher end of the fountain pen ink market in terms of price (and of course, quality).

These 15ml Iroshizuku mini bottles are therefore a great way to sample the range, both for those have yet to try an Iroshizuku ink, or for those who want to try a wider range of colours. They are still difficult to come by outside Japan, so we're pleased to have them available for our customers here at TJS.

This smaller 15ml bottle size is also very convenient for travelling. Finally, if you are looking for a gift for a fellow fountain pen user, we think the attractive gift case these mini ink bottles come in make the Iroshizuku Mini set a wonderful gift which will be appreciated every time it is used.

Mini size Iroshizuku mini bottles are presently sold in sets of three bottles (in the aforementioned lovely presentation case) in pre-selected colours and there are three sets to choose from. Single Iroshizuku mini bottles also available at TJS.

    The colour sets:

    Set A

    Tsuki-yo (Moonlight) - a midnight blue ink

    Take-sumi (Bamboo Charcoal) - a black ink

Kon-peki (Deep Azure) - a deep blue ink

    Set B

Asa-gao (Morning Glory) - a dark blue ink

Shin-kai (Deep Sea) - a blue grey ink

Yama-budo (Wild Grapes) - a deep magenta ink

    Set C

    Ama-iro (Sky) - a sky blue ink

    Fuyu-gaki (Persimmon) - a vermillion orange ink

Syo-ro (Pine Tree Dew) - a grey turquoise ink
