Description

The HON Bow & Tie series techos are wrapped in the same textured, shiny fabric used in neckties. The material has a beautiful gloss and is soft to the touch.

The Sheep Sheep Sheep design features a flock of adorable sheep arranged in even rows on a vibrant green cover. Their fluffy, rounded silhouettes are woven in rich detail with necktie fabric, giving each and every sheep its own personality.

Some sheep are sleeping soundly. Some are leaping over a fence with a little hop. Some are zipping along on skateboards. And if you look closely, you’ll even spot a sheep with a pompadour.

The sight of each sheep living life on the farm just as it pleases is sure to put a smile on your face every time you pick up your techo to use it. This design is also perfect for 2027, the Year of the Sheep in the Chinese zodiac, making it a great choice for anyone looking for a lucky charm.

The contents are the same as the Hobonichi Techo Cousin. The A5-size HON includes vertical weekly pages, allowing you to plan each week on a two-page spread.

Like the Hobonichi Techo, the HON features thread-stitched binding, so it opens flat at 180 degrees and stays that way — no need to hold the pages down.

The pages are made of thin and light yet durable Tomoe River paper that holds ink well, providing a smooth writing experience.

The back of the techo contains bonus pages.

The English edition features standard favorites like My 100, Favorites, and the 365 Days Check-Off Sheet, alongside new additions like Phrases to Break That Writer’s Block, Hard-to-Translate Japanese Words, and the Hobonichi’s Neighborhood: Kanda/Jinbo-cho Map.

The Japanese edition includes standard favorites like My 100, Favorites, and Solar Terms, as well as new additions like Phrases to Break That Writer’s Block, Useful Sign Language Phrases to Know, and the Hobonichi’s Neighborhood: Kanda/Jinbo-cho Map.

A pencil board with a 5 mm grid, designed exclusively for the HON, is also available. Note: starting with the 2027 edition, the pencil board is sold separately.

In addition to the techos, the Sheep Sheep Sheep lineup also includes Drawer Pouches made from the same patterned fabric.

This design is perfect for anyone who wants to spend the year on their own terms — free-spirited and full of fun, just like these sheep living life to the fullest.

Note: a portion of the proceeds from this techo will be donated through Animal Donation, a public interest incorporated association, to organisations certified by the association for use in animal welfare activities.

The patterned fabric has not been aligned to a specific layout, so the placement of each design will vary by product. The product will not be an exact replica of the one in the product photographs.

What Makes It Work So Well

  • Necktie fabric, sheep and all: The flock is woven into glossy tie silk over a green as bright as new pasture, giving the cover a faintly ridged texture your fingers notice before your eyes do.
  • A week and a day, in one book: You get a full A5 page for every day plus vertical weekly spreads, so appointments and longer thoughts never have to share the same cramped corner.
  • Opens flat and stays open: Thread-stitched binding holds the book at a full 180 degrees across the whole spread, and the larger page gives your handwriting somewhere to stretch out.
