Description

Together with art director Yoshie Watanabe, who works on the fashion brand CACUMA and other projects, we have created the Petit Bloom techo cover.

On a deep-coloured navy fabric, colourful small flowers with various expressions are expressed through a woven fabric with an elegant feel. It is finished into a cover with a dignified look.

A single red line runs sharply down the spine, while velour-style red and blue ribbons serve as bookmarks, adding a crisp, stylish accent. The interior is faux leather, with Yoshie Watanabe's initials "Y.W" embossed in gold and the Hobonichi logo blind-embossed.

To make this cover as compact to carry as possible, we removed the pockets and butterfly-stopper pen holders to create a sleek, streamlined design.

The pen hook is designed to hold a pen by its clip.

Tucked inside the slot where you slip in the techo book is a hidden message: "Happy nothing special day."

The Yoshie Watanabe lineup includes techo covers, Weeks books, and stationery. We hope you enjoy her worldview by using them as a matching set.

Yoshie Watanabe creates work with a unique worldview, including fashion designs for CACUMA, a brand she launched with Hobonichi, as well as package designs for AUDREY, G Butters' and CARAMEL MONDAY. She works on art direction, product design, and spatial direction, and is active across a wide range of fields as part of the creative unit KIGI. She has published many works, including BROOCH.

Beauty Meets Function

  • Flowers woven, not printed: The small blooms are worked into the cloth itself, so they catch the light at different angles and leave a fine, faintly raised weave under your fingers.
  • Slim by design: There are no pockets and no butterfly-stopper here, so the cover sits close to the book and never adds bulk to a coat pocket.
  • Small things done properly: A single red line runs down the spine, the two velour bookmarks arrive in red and blue, and "Y.W" is embossed in gold inside, where all the quietest detail lives.
