Description

This is the English-language edition of the Hobonichi Techo Original, a one-page-per-day techo in A6 size (the same size as a paperback book).

Now in its 26th year since the 2002 edition, this standard Hobonichi Techo is presented entirely in English. The daily pages give you plenty of space to write schedules, journal entries and notes; paste in tickets and photos; sketch; and much more.

The page design is based on a 3.7 mm grid layout, refined through countless adjustments over the years. It's ideal for writing neat schedules and text, and comes in handy whenever you want to sketch diagrams or illustrations. Just like the Japanese-language edition of the Original, each month is printed in a different colour.

On each spread of daily pages you'll find Daily Quotes in English, carefully selected from content on the Hobonichi website. This makes the techo a pleasure to read through as well as write in.

Thanks to the thread-stitched binding, the techo opens flat at 180 degrees and stays that way — no need to hold the pages down.

The pages are made of thin and light yet durable Tomoe River paper that holds ink well, providing a smooth writing experience.

The back of the techo contains bonus pages, including standard favourites such as Favorites, My 100 and the 365 Days Check-Off Sheet, as well as new additions like Phrases to Break That Writer's Block, Hard-to-Translate Japanese Words, and Hobonichi's Neighborhood: Kanda/Jinbo-cho Map, among others.

The Hobonichi Techo is designed to be used with a cover. We offer a wide range of dedicated techo covers to choose from — explore the different colours, materials and designs to find your perfect match.

Why You'll Love It

  • A page a day, entirely yours: You get a full A6 page for every date of the year — schedule, journal, sketch or scrapbook, however the day happens to go.
  • Paper that never fights your pen: Tomoe River paper is thin, light and remarkably tough, so your fountain pen glides and your techo stays slim.
  • Pair it with your favourite cover: The book is designed to be dressed. Choose a cover and you always have exactly the techo you want.
