Description

Moomin was created in 1945 by Tove Jansson, Finland’s beloved author, painter, and artist. This year, the world of those stories has once again been brought to life as a Weeks book.

Wrapped in a cover made from necktie fabric with a beautiful sheen and a pleasant woven texture, the techo is designed to feel like a light hardcover book with some give to it. Against a deep green background, Snufkin goes about his day in his own free-spirited way — fishing, playing music, and enjoying life.

Among the scenes depicted, you’ll also find Snufkin spending time together with Moomintroll.

Bronze lamé thread is woven into the ornaments on Snufkin’s hat, adding a subtle shimmer. Every detail has been brought to life with necktie weaving techniques. The year 2027 is foil-pressed in gold.

The Hobonichi Techo Weeks comes with a clear, adhesive corner pocket you can stick anywhere you like.

The pages are made of thin and light yet durable Tomoe River paper that holds ink well, providing a smooth writing experience.

In addition to the monthly calendars and weekly pages, there are also plenty of grid-lined memo pages.

The back of the book contains bonus pages, including standard favourites like My 100 and the 365 Days Check-Off Sheet, as well as new additions like Phrases to Break That Writer’s Block and the Hobonichi’s Neighborhood: Kanda/Jinbo-cho Map, among others.

If you’d like to customise the look of your Weeks or add space to store accessories, you can pair it with a Weeks cover.

The Moomin lineup also includes stationery items that pair beautifully with your techo.

With this chic, sophisticated Weeks, you can spend the year alongside Snufkin, a lover of solitude and freedom.

Tove Jansson (1914-2001) was a Finnish-Swedish writer and artist, who achieved worldwide fame as the creator of the stories about the Moomins, written and illustrated between 1945 and 1977. The Moomin family and their friends live an adventurous life in the idyllic and peaceful Moominvalley in harmony with nature. They are a family of white and roundish trolls with large snouts.

Built for Daily Use

  • Deep forest green, woven not printed: The necktie fabric has a soft sheen and a pleasant woven texture, and bronze lamé thread glints quietly in the ornaments on Snufkin's hat.
  • A whole week, laid out plainly: The left page gives you the week horizontally and the right stays blank graph paper, so no wandering thought is ever turned away.
  • Never a burden to carry: Wallet-sized and light, with thread-stitched Tomoe River pages that always fall open flat at 180 degrees.
