Description

The Clear Cover for Weeks (Dotted Plaid) is an illustrated version of the Clear Cover, which you can put on top of your Hobonichi Techo Weeks to protect it from scuff marks and dirt. Using it in combination with a Weeks in a plain design like the Colors will give the book a fresh new look.

The Dotted Plaid design was created by art director Yoshie Watanabe. It is a simple yet beautiful design in which dots are arranged in an evenly spaced grid to form a plaid-like pattern.

The dots are silkscreen-printed in four colours — white, green, blue and pink — with vivid, vibrant results. No matter what colour techo you pair it with, the design always looks fresh and striking.

The cover provides a sideways bookmark and a place to store your pen. It also comes with two card-size pockets, so we recommend it to anyone who would like to carry items such as sticky notes and pens along with a Weeks book.

This Clear Cover is also compatible with the Hobonichi Techo Weeks Mega.

The Clear Cover for Weeks has been specially measured for the Weeks books, so please choose the size that matches your book. It is not suited to covers made with PVC, leather or faux leather, as it may affect the colour or quality of the material.

Yoshie Watanabe creates work with a unique worldview, including fashion designs for CACUMA, a brand she launched with Hobonichi, as well as package designs for AUDREY, G Butters’ and CARAMEL MONDAY. She works on art direction, product design and spatial direction, and is active across a wide range of fields as part of the creative unit KIGI. She has published many works, including BROOCH (published by Little More).

What Makes It Work So Well

  • Your Weeks stops collecting scuffs: The clear sleeve takes a year of bag rummaging on its own account, so the book underneath never picks up the marks.
  • Two pockets and somewhere for a pen: You get a sideways bookmark, a pen store and two card-size pockets, which is all the storage a Weeks really needs for stamps, receipts and a spare sticky note.
  • A pattern that lifts a plain book: The dots are silkscreened over slick, glassy plastic that stays cool under the thumb, and paired with a plain Colors book the two layers read as a single design.
