Description

There are few things Japan does quite so charmingly as stationery and food, so combining the two feels almost inevitable. Papier Platz Masking Tape in Hankodori features a procession of miniature Japanese dishes, illustrated with the wonderfully tactile character of hand-carved eraser stamps.

Designed by eraser stamp artist Hankodori, the 20mm-wide tape depicts familiar favourites including onigiri, natto, grilled salmon and bowls of rice, interspersed with handwritten details that give the whole design the pleasing appearance of a tiny illustrated food diary.

Made in Japan from Japanese paper, the tape is easy to apply and reposition, making it ideal for journals, planners, scrapbooks, cards and gift wrapping. At 7 metres long, there’s plenty for borders, page decorations and creative collages—or simply marking the pages where lunch seems a particularly good idea.

Designed with You (and Your Ideas) in Mind:

  • A Little Taste of Japan: Hankodori’s food illustrations bring onigiri, grilled fish, rice and other familiar dishes to journals and creative projects in wonderfully miniature form.
  • Decorate Without the Commitment: The masking tape applies easily and can be repositioned, so you can experiment with layouts without every decision becoming terribly permanent.
  • Seven Metres to Play With: The generous roll gives you plenty for journalling, scrapbooking, planners, cards and gift wrapping, whether used as a continuous border or snipped into individual motifs.
