Following Midori’s minimalist philosophy, the notebook removes unnecessary decoration so the writing experience remains at the centre. In the distinctive B6 Slim (Japanese paperback) format, inspired by Japanese paperback books, the notebook is tall and slender — elegant to hold and easy to carry in a bag or pocket.
Inside, you’ll find Midori’s renowned MD PAPER, used for the pages, cover and endpapers alike. This paper is celebrated for its smooth texture and excellent fountain pen compatibility. Ink glides easily across the page while maintaining crisp lines, vibrant colour and pleasing shading.
The notebook uses traditional thread binding, allowing it to open completely flat at 180 degrees. This thoughtful construction ensures comfortable writing from the first page to the last without the resistance often found in tightly bound notebooks.
The minimalist cover remains uncoated, showcasing the natural character of the paper itself. Each notebook is wrapped in glassine paper, reminiscent of classic paperback covers. It protects the notebook from dirt while travelling, though many users choose to remove it and enjoy the notebook in its pure form.
