Description

This is a collaboration techo with the SUPER Famicom™ game “MOTHER 2: Gyiyg Strikes Back!” (EarthBound in North America, released by Nintendo Co., Ltd. in 1994) and the Game Boy Advance™ game “MOTHER 3” (released by Nintendo Co., Ltd. in 2006), for which Shigesato Itoi was the game designer.

Mr. Saturn is a character that appears in both of these games, and adorns the necktie material used on the cover of this techo.

The main material comes in an apricot hue to mimic the colour of Mr. Saturn’s skin, and it’s dotted with images of Mr. Saturn’s face and trademark red ribbon.

You can see his round eyes peering at you over his big nose, so with this design you can look him right in his big cute eyes anytime.

The necktie material gives it some texture that’s pleasant to the touch, as well as a nice-looking sheen. Because it’s genuine necktie material, you can enjoy the exquisite texture of the weave and its silky lustre.

The Mr. Saturns are known for their gentle nature, great intelligence, and pure hearts, making them a perfect fit for a techo where you can store the memories of your peaceful days.

The cover has been constructed as a light hardcover book with some give to it so it still bends.

Now wait a minute, youngster!

This techo comes with a free bonus, the “Hint Man Grid Notebook.” There are glossy-print images on each side of the cover, with the Hint Man on the front and Ness visiting the hint stand on the back.

The compact notebook is 8cm (~3") tall, and the grid size is the same 3.7mm as the standard techo. There are 48 pages, so you can write down hints on life you want to remember or information you want to share with others. Then, for sure, without fail, certainly, something wonderful will happen.

The Hobonichi Techo Weeks comes with a clear, adhesive corner pocket you can stick anywhere you like.

The pages are made of thin and light yet durable Tomoe River paper that holds ink well, providing a smooth writing experience.

In addition to the monthly calendars and weekly pages, there are also plenty of grid-lined memo pages.

The back of the book contains bonus pages. Both the Japanese and English editions feature standard favourites like My 100 and the 365 Days Check-Off Sheet, as well as new additions like Phrases to Break That Writer’s Block and the Hobonichi’s Neighborhood: Kanda/Jinbo-cho Map, among others.

If you’d like to customise the look of your Weeks or add space to store accessories, you can pair it with a Weeks cover.

Clever Details That Count

  • Apricot silk, hundreds of small faces: Genuine necktie fabric gives the cover a fine woven texture and a quiet lustre, in a warm apricot dotted with Mr. Saturn's nose, eyes and trademark red ribbon.
  • A bonus notebook that means business: The Hint Man Grid Notebook comes free, 48 pages on the same fine grid as the techo itself, small enough that you never have an excuse not to write the hint down.
  • All week on the left, open ground on the right: Your week runs horizontally across the left page and the right is blank graph paper, with the stitched Tomoe River pages opening flat at 180 degrees.
