Takeo MOTTAINAI Memo Block Notepad
Description
Some paper is too lovely to waste. That, in essence, is the spirit of MOTTAINAI.
First released in 1996, the Takeo MOTTAINAI Memo Block Notepad was created to give renewed life to fine papers—rich in colour, generous in texture—that might otherwise quietly disappear as stocks change and cycle into new materials. Before they are gone, you get to enjoy them properly: by writing on them.
Each block contains 150 sheets in total, arranged as 50 sheets × 3 different paper types. You use it freely, without the faint anxiety that often accompanies beautiful stationery. It is meant to be used, not merely admired from a respectful distance.
The paper itself reproduces the rough texture of ancient Japanese textiles, offering a tactile experience that feels grounded and quietly distinctive. It is ideal for short notes, thoughtful messages, or a handwritten line tucked alongside a gift. In a world of hurried communication, this is paper that asks you to pause—if only for a moment.
