Description

The Kaweco Classic Sport Fountain Pen has kept the same idea since 1935: short in the pocket, full-sized in the hand. Capped, it measures 10.5cm; with the cap posted on the end it becomes a comfortable 13cm. The octagonal cap stops it rolling off a desk, and the gold-plated steel nib comes in five widths, from Extra Fine to Extra Broad.

It is remarkably light, so it stays comfortable through a long letter, and the posted cap balances the pen rather than weighting its end. The plastic body takes knocks in a pocket or bag with good grace. Few pens this small are this easy to forget you are carrying, and fewer still are this hard to stop using.

The Sport takes short international ink cartridges. If you'd like to use bottled ink, a compatible Kaweco squeeze converter is available separately at The Journal Shop.

Precision in the Details

  • Always in the pocket: It goes everywhere your keys go, so a fountain pen is no longer something kept for the desk.
  • No rolling away: The octagonal cap keeps it exactly where you put it down, even on a tilted table.
  • Quick notes stay quick: You uncap it, write and pop it back in a pocket, with no ceremony at all.
