What is the Hobonichi 2024 Techo English Cousin Book?

This is the English version of the A5 sized Hobonichi Techo Cousin with one page per day. The book layout is the same as the Japanese edition. Not only is it useful for writing down your plans for the day, jotting down memos, doodling, pasting event tickets or photos, the spacious Cousin is easy to use as a techo to write down everything work-related, as a family notebook, tracking the growth of children and pasting in pictures to create a family album or sharing pages among family members. It’s also frequently used as a planner that is always kept on a desktop or table rather than carrying around.

After years of testing, the graph paper has been set to 3.7 mm for optimal writing comfort. The graph paper design allows users to write from any starting point on the page, and the lines have been printed in light colours so users can either customise it to their own layout or ignore it completely. Like with the Japanese version, each month is printed in a different colour.

The book layout is the same as the Japanese edition with some differences. You will notice that as with the Japanese edition, it also contains several sections that are great for schedule management, such as a yearly calendar, monthly calendar, and yearly index page. The back of the book has bonus pages that were chosen for the English edition book such as Words to Remember, 365 Days Check-Off Sheet and Getting the Most Out of Your Hobonichi Techo, as well as those included in the Japanese edition books, however as the English version is used in various countries around the world, the calendars do not list holidays. Similar to the Japanese edition, the English edition Cousin has each month printed in a different colour.

The English Cousin is stitch-binded allowing you to use the planner completely flat without having to hold it down, making it more comfortable. The page corners are rounded to minimise any bends or damages when stored in a bag.
