Much loved Japanese brand Mind Wave is exclusively available at The Journal Shop. This range of wooden stamps is ideal for planner use and especially for creating keys to highlight important dates, or to check off 'to-do' lists. The wooden stamps are made using re-cycled wood and have a nice weight when held. The rubber stamp and pre-inked pad are housed in a small clear plastic compartment, just under the wood stamp block. Each design varies and ink colours are available in Red and Pink. The imprint surface of each stamp is approx. 15mm x 50mm which is exactly the same size as most standard page tabs. This means you can use these stamps to print your page tabs and then pop the tabs into your planner - two uses in one stamp!
What's a pre-inked stamp and is it refillable?
A pre-inked stamp is a nifty and self-contained way of stamping your planner pages. Pre-inked stamps have the ink molded into the design and contain an interior pad which holds a sufficient amount of ink to last for many impressions. Once your ink starts to look a little feint or run dry (you might accidentally keep the cap off, mistakes happen!) you can easily re-ink your stamp by holding the stamp upside down so the design faces upwards. Then, gently squeeze a few drops of your favourite ink colour just around the sides of the design - you can see the little ink pad if you hold the stamp at an angle - and then, wait at least 10-15 minutes for the ink pad to soak it all up. Try stamping your design and see how it looks. If it's still too feint, add a little more ink so the design is crisp and in focus. Be careful to use ink which is suitable for stamps / stamp pads - other inks might cause damage to the ink pad and run if too watery.
