Based on all the paired-back features of the MD Notebook, the MD diaries are simple and easy to use. Every book is thread-bound to enable it to lay flat when open and the cloth tape used to bind the spine is exposed to give the diary a different look. The perfect combination of a planner and notebook. 



Features

An illustration is printed on its cover, with Japanese translation into English of its specific use. The year is dated on the spine for easy reference when storing away on a bookshelf. The notebook has been created to include an annual calendar over 2 pages, Monthly schedules from Dec. 2022 - Jan. 2024, 8 divided sections to use as weekly schedules. Each monthly calendar is spread across two pages with a Monday-Sunday calendar format: with ample blank margins for notes and creativity with the rest of the diary filled with lined and blank pages giving you the flexibility to illustrate and write. Japanese and international holidays are labelled in Japanese, and Sundays and Japanese holidays are marked with circles.

Measuring at: L14.8cmx10.5cm, it is small and convenient for jotting down ideas and inspirations. MD has created a notebook with all the essentials that one may need in one notebook instead of having to carry a separate diary. 

Perfect Planner Paper

As for the paper? Well, MD paper is beautiful when paired with fountain pen ink; no smearing, feathering or bleeding. The pages in this diary are a soft shade of cream, with sections of blank and lined pages. Index labels and bookplate stickers included.

About the brand

Midori Shokai CO., Ltd. was established in 1950. Its company name Midori meaning ‘green’ in Japanese was chosen to represent the strength of a plant. They went on to change their company name to Midori CO., Ltd in 1963 which they eventually changed to DesignPhil Inc. in 2007 while maintaining the brand’s name Midori. The company’s first product was letter paper with the courier symbol and still stands to be central to the MIDORI brand to this day. Over the decades, Midori have expanded their collection of products to greeting letters, grooving cases, colour message cardboard, mini cleaners, colour stationery in addition to notebooks and sketches. Midori celebrated their 70th anniversary in 2021 with limited edition products incorporating colours and symbols of MIDORI’S roots and designs to innovate through bold green and soft pastel colours.
