MD Notebook Diary 2023 [A5]

Based on all the paired-back features of the MD Notebook, the MD diaries are simple and easy to use. Every book is thread-bound to enable it to lay flat when open and the cloth tape used to bind the spine is exposed to give the diary a different look. The perfect combination of a planner and notebook. 

As for the paper? Well, MD paper is beautiful when paired with fountain pen ink; no smearing, feathering or bleeding. The pages in this diary are a soft shade of cream, with sections of blank and lined pages. 113 pages of lined paper are divided into 8 sections across each two-page spread. 32 pages of plain paper for drawing brainstorming and designs. 

The year is dated on the spine for easy reference when storing away on a bookshelf. Monthly schedules from Dec. 2022 - Jan. 2024 and eight divided sections to use as weekly schedules. Each monthly calendar is spread across two pages with a Monday-Sunday calendar format. 

The monthly schedule pages have plenty of blank space around the edges so you can add notes and even drawings. These pages are designed so that you can combine your monthly plans with notes, to-do items and sketches of your ideas.

The rest of the diary is filled with lined and blank pages giving you the flexibility to illustrate and write. You can jot down ideas, draw sketches and even use the whole two-page spread as a single canvas.

The note pages are divided into eight sections across a two-page spread, to make your weekly diary extra flexible.

The MD Notebook Diary includes an index label and bookplate. The index label contains the year and the word DIARY. You can attach it to the spine of your MD Notebook Diary. The bookplate can be filled in with your name and signature, the date you began using the diary or your goals for the year. Affix it to the inside of the cover or on the title page so that you can see it each time you use your MD Notebook Diary.

About The Brand

Midori Shokai CO., Ltd. was established in 1950. Its company name Midori meaning ‘green’ in Japanese was chosen to represent the strength of a plant.They went on to change their company name to Midori CO., Ltd in 1963 which they eventually changed to DesignPhil Inc. in 2007 while maintaining the brand’s name Midori. The company’s first product was letter paper with the courier symbol and still stands to be central to the MIDORI brand to this day.
